A Very Short Bookshelf Review - The Search: Lunis Flower of Hidden by G.K. Fralin

The Search: Lunis Flower of Hidden should be checked out by all means, especially if you've read The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. Even if you are not a heavy reader of Christian fantasy, you should still take a look at it. No themes are overblown here and this is what makes this book an enjoyable read. I have to be sparse on the details for this review because you will be surprised by what is in store in G.K. Fralin's debut novel. I helped edit this book and I assure you this is a good read.

The plot starts off with Sheridan Easterly, an anthropologist for the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, driving down the road until she loses course. She finds herself in the town of Hidden and meets strange characters with names such as Catch, Service, Cook, Sheperd, and Tailor. They each have names with different purposes and know things that Sheridan doesn't...and that's all I can say. Reading the book is a journey not through the strange town but it is also a journey through Sheridan's tragic past. Glenda Fralin plays with reality in different ways with the fantasy elements in the book, so don't blink!

In short, The Search: Lunis Flower of Hidden is captivating and as you read into the book, you will really feel you're in Sheridan's shoes looking around Hidden and its mysteries. Do not miss out on this incredible experience.
